About LeisureCraft

 

Leisurecraft is a family owned Canadian manufacturer that is located in Melancthon (formerly Dundalk) Ontario. They produce quality rustic solid wood (cedar, pine and maple) indoor and outdoor furniture, indoor and outdoor saunas, tiki bars, gazebos and more. They started with outdoor cedar furniture and as their customers grew so did their offerings. They added Saunas and Tiki bars then indoor furniture to the lineup. They are now the leading manufacturer of Leisure products in Canada and always adding additional products to keep up with demand.


LeisureCrafts’ growth has been attributed to the quality and service they put into all of their products. They sell only to the trade market and have retailers across Canada, USA and throughout Europe. They listen to the suggestions made by dealers and have added many products and designs based on dealer comments.

They are an eco-friendly company that buys wood from replenishing and sustainable mills that take the environment seriously. They look forward to the future with many new concepts to come that are even more eco-friendly, made with great care from skilled carpenters and reduce our ecological footprint.

LeisureCraft Specific Shipping Terms

Free Shipping is included in Canada, excluding some remote locations. Either call to confirm the shipping price to NWT, Nunavut, Islands or other remote locations, or simply check out and wait for us to call you with your shipping quote. (NO charges are made until you accept any extra shipping costs - we do our absolute best to keep shipping free or minimal to remote locations.)  Dundalk LeisureCraft Responsibilities

1) Building and packing your sauna in a crate 

2) Arranging for shipping to your home 

 Trucking Company Responsibilities 

1) Making an appointment to deliver your sauna 

2) Delivering your sauna to the end of your driveway or curbside 

  1. The trucking company is NOT responsible for unloading the sauna 
  2. The trucking company is NOT going to back their truck into your driveway 
  3. Most times the trucking company will deliver with an 18 wheel truck 
  4. Will this size truck fit on your road or neighbourhood? 

3) If the sauna crate is less than 92” (7 feet), the trucking company may have a lift gate on the back of the truck which can be used to assist getting the sauna off the truck. 

4) If the sauna crate is more than 92”, there will not be a lift gate to unload the sauna crate and the customer needs to decide how they are going to get the crate off the truck. 

Customer Responsibilities 

1) Returning phone calls to the trucking company in a timely manner, to arrange delivery 

2) Determining how the sauna is going to be unloaded from the truck 

  1. Crates will vary from 6 feet long to 14 feet long 
  2. The crate’s weight will vary from 800 pounds to 1600 pounds, depending on the size of the sauna 

3) Customer is responsible for unloading the sauna crate from the truck 

4) If the crate arrives damaged, you can accept the shipment, however, please take pictures of the damage, and note the damage on the shipper’s Bill of Lading (BOL). Immediately, contact your dealer or Dundalk, so we can contact the shipper. 

  1. Mark the Bill of Lading (BOL) with “(Crate arrived open/damaged- Possible Hidden Damage.” 

If the crate is longer than 92”, the customer (consignee) is responsible for unloading the crate off the delivery truck. If the crate is longer than 92” a liftgate will not be available to assist in lowering the crate to the ground. Therefore, the customer will need to do one of the following options: 

  1. Arrange for a crew of people to help unload the crate by hand
  2. Arrange for a piece of equipment to be available to unload the crate (when using a forklift to pick up the crates, they must be picked up from the end of the crate and forklift extensions are required).
  3. Use a trailer or flatbed truck and pick up the crate at the delivery terminal and unload it by hand at home
  4. Rent a tilt tow truck and pick up the crate at the delivery terminal
If the customer cannot do any of the above and they want Retreat Ready to arrange for a tilt tow truck, we will provide this service for a cost. The cost will be $800 

Missing components or in transit damage claims must be made to Retreat Ready within 28 days of receipt of merchandise.

Ontario orders have the option of having their sauna assembled for $1000

LeisureCraft Specific Returns & Satisfaction Guarantee

  1. We do not accept returns on LeisureCraft items.
  2. If a product must be returned to the factory, a 20% restocking fee will apply.
  3. Products must be returned in their original packaging and condition.
  4. LeisureCraft will inspect the product upon return and LeisureCraft will be the sole decider of the condition of the product and the amount of the refund.
  5. The customer is responsible for any and all shipping costs to the factory.

LeisureCraft Sauna Assembly & Installation

Customers are responsible for their site prep. A flat, level pad or platform is recommended for all sauna installations.

Ontario orders have the option of adding on assembly for $1000, otherwise:

  • Saunas must be assembled on-site. Please refer to the assembly video and the pdf provided on each listing for a step-by-step guide
  • Customers are responsible to assemble or hire someone to assemble their sauna.

    • 2 People (recommended)
    • Rubber Mallet 
    • Carpenter’s Level
    • Tape Measure
    • Cordless Drill 
    • Phillips & Robertson Drill Bits
    • 2” (51mm)hole saw
    • Jigsaw
    • ¼” (6mm) & ½” (13mm) Nut Driver Bit
    • Step Ladder
    • Adjustable Wrench
    • Grinder & Metal Cutting Disc
    • Carpenter’s Hammer

LeisureCraft’s Canadian Timber Collection and other products are made to order in batches on rotation, meaning some products may ship quicker than others, and some popular items may be in stock.
